Fret-King Super 60 Sunburst circa 2000s Electric Guitar

This is a Fret-King Super 60 in Sunburst finish. Made in Korea circa 2000’s, this guitar features an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a 2-point Wilkinson VS401V tremolo bridge and a set of Gotoh Locking tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Single-Coils and an after-market Wilkinson P90, which are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls.

The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘C’ profile allowing for easy fretting in any register and lending itself well to a wide variety of styles. The Indian Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 10” radius offers a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines. Medium jumbo frets enhance vibrato and string bending techniques whilst also providing a rock-solid and smooth playing experience.

The single-coil pickups deliver classic tones with a modern edge for the contemporary player. The middle pickup sits great with a nice balance of bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup is smooth, with a beautiful warm, rounded tone that handles distorted tones well The Wilkinson P90 in the neck position is fantastic for sparkling clean sounds or those bluesy crunch tones.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the tip of the headstock, these have lightly pierced the finish. Light scratching is present to the front face of the headstock, these can be seen under direct light.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has lightly polished to a Gloss finish, this is common with regular past use.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light lacquer cracks are present to both sides of the neck pocket, these have been tested and presents not structural concerns. Light to moderate scratching and marking is present to all aspects of thee body, the most prominent of these can be seen to the lower bout edges consistent with scuff markings. Milder scratching is scattered around the rear face, these can be seen under direct light. A mild chip to thee finish is present tot he front face lower bout, this has exposed the wood beneath.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. A previous owner has replaced the control knobs and switch tip, the original plastics are not included. Light tarnishing is present to the bridge saddles, consistent with past use. Tremolo arm included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2mm
